Salt Retainer for Mach 2020C Softener
This optional extra allows you to use tablet salt in your block salt softener. It means the softener holds more tablet salt meaning you won't need to add salt so often. Tablet salt is a poor alternative to block salt for any block salt softener due to the reduced autonomy period (the length of time between fill-ups). The tablet salt retainer helps overcome this issue.
Water Hardness Liquid Test Kit
Essential when configuring a softener to determine the level of hardness in the incoming water supply. Simply add the drops to a 10mm sample in the tube, each drop counts for 20ppm of hardness. Add the drops, shaking after each is added until the colour changes from red to blue. Multiply the number of drops by 20 to get the total hardness in ppm (parts per million) or mg/l (milligrams per litre).
Soft Water Yes / No Test Kit
This kit is ideal for checking if your water supply from the water softener is soft. Ideal to verify that your water softener is working correctly, or to check which taps are supplied with hard or soft water. The kit comes with instructions, a small water bottle and 10 tablets.
